Good Life with osteoArthritis (GLA:D) program

GLA:D program is an evidence-based treatment program for individuals with persistent and/or recurrent hip, knee and/or back pain that negatively affects their everyday life and function. 

The GLA:D program consists of self-management education classes and exercise therapy. It originated in Demark with results in patient outcomes showing a decrease in pain and an increase in functional ability.

By strengthening muscles and correcting movement patterns, patients can prevent the progression of symptoms and reduce pain.

 

Prescription to Get Active

This uniquely designed prescription gives healthcare partners the opportunity to discuss the importance of physical activity and grants patients access to community recreation. This motivational tool breaks down barriers and encourages patients to find the right activities for them as they work towards a healthier life.
